  Let us take a minute to appreciate the fact that it is canon that Sherlock Holmes is a distant ancestor of Lieutenant Commander Harold Spock. 

  • Established in Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country. LOOK IT UP.
  • Okay so maybe it was Arthur Conan Doyle but that's boring
  • His first name was jokingly confirmed by the actress who played his mother
  • But I like that he has one name from his mother and one from his father
  • Watson references Star Trek in that scene from Sherlock.
  • My explanation: ''Nero fucked up all the shit by going back in time.''
