  yep. and I get annoyed when people assume they took Peeta’s surname. Everdeen> Mellark lbr

  I naturally assumed they both hyphenated. Katniss and Peeta Everdeen-Mellark. I’m pretty sure if there’s one thing Katniss doesn’t give a shit about, it’s tradition, especially patriarchal and patrilineal traditions, especially especially since in a lot of ways, she and Peeta invert traditional gender roles. 

  I just can’t see Katniss as someone who would take someone else’s name, and I can’t see Peeta as someone who would care about his wife taking his name. 

  Gale might care. Peeta could probably not care less if he tried.
