can we just take a moment appreciate literary awareness and puns and then question. Does Rowling belong in the same category as the other three?
A lot of people have been asking that, so I thought I’d give a straightforward answer! These authors, to me, are not categorized based on the quality or gravitas of their work. I love three of these authors and hate one (don’t try to guess, I’ll just tell you. It’s Hemingway), but I’ve grouped these authors together because they all wrote works that teach people that reading is a cool thing to do. In the other set, I’ve done the same thing: It’s all authors that get people interested in reading, and not just the intake of words, but proper reading, the process of absorbing them and growing from them.
I just wish I could think of a pun on “Harper Lee” or “Mary Shelly!”
