  Remember when Batman retired and the Joker just peaced out on using any part of his brain or body that wasn’t vital to keeping him alive, not speaking, eating, drinking, using the bathroom, or even moving a single muscle without assistance for ten years?

  And then the news mentioned Batman’s return and he just sprung back to life?

  Because I can’t forget it.

  Look, he have normal color skin. Ledger,’s influence? #TheDarkKnightReturns

  No, this story came out in the 80s, and it was a major influence on Chris Nolan’s Batman universe. In fact, Heath Ledger’s Joker was heavily influenced by this version. 

  His skin is actually bleached in this, like in most other comics, but the difference is that his lips aren’t permanently red, he has to apply lipstick to get that effect.
