I love marmite to the ends of the earth. When I was little my dad would even make me a hot marmite drink if we were going out in the cold. The only people I’ve met who like it have been english.
This one guy Marty ate a whole fingerful of the marmite my friend Jess brought back from England and ran across the chemistry lab to rinse his mouth out in the emergency eye-wash station
You’ve been physically slapped by an aggressive feline just for looking at it for too long, but you find dogs to be more of a threat? :P
WHAT IF IT LICKS MY HAND, RACHAEL? I ONLY HAVE TWO OF THOSE AND I CAN’T AFFORD NEW ONES
But surely if they want to make you happy then it’s a compliment anyway because someone wanted to make your day better?
Nope! Because if someone needs to make up something good about me in order to make me feel better, then it’s kind of worse than if they just didn’t say anything.
cabaline replied to your post “So people heard that the Doctor Who 50th anniversary trailer would…”
The UK BBC said that they’d be putting it up on youtube at midnight though, but it’s 2am and as far as I know there’s no trailer, so that’s why people are getting pissed I think.
Right, but midnight in the UK was a couple hours ago, but I saw people pissed about this at like, lunchtime
Any chance they meant the other midnight, 24 hours later than the one that just happened?
Some of WWZ was filmed just round the corner from where I live and some was even filmed in my university :D
Oh, I’m well aware. In my area, people are actually a little miffed that they filmed in your neck of the woods, because part of the movie is set in Philadelphia, but instead of filming it here, they filmed in Glasgow instead.
Basically, your city is playing mine in that movie!
Speaking of November, you doing Movember/Novembeard?
We usually call it “No-Shave November” here, and I’ll have to wait and see. Usually after three days of not shaving my face starts to feel gross and I just end up shaving it all off no matter what. I just shaved last night, so I’ve got a little while to decide whether I’m participating in that!
IT’S THURSDAY, NOVEMBER FIRST 2012

You’ve just added animal rights activists to a list of people who send you anon hate with terrible grammar ;)
Ech, they already do (or did, since anon has been turned off indefinitely). If one more person refers to my eating of meat as a “holocaust” then I will burn Utica to the ground.

I think Oswin is prettier than Clara anyway =) I just don’t have a clue how she can be a companion if she’s a dalek and dead.
The fact that this is Doctor Who means those two things are easier to work around than her having a different name than the one she says when people ask her what her name is.
Well the same girl is cast as a character called Clara later down the line. But I do think that people are jumping to conclusions and playing right into Moffat’s hands :L
The only reason people thought the character she’s playing in episode 5 would be called “Clara” is because one dude snuck on set and tweeted that he thought he heard Matt Smith call her character that. A number of other people who snuck on set also tweeted that they’d heard him calling her a number of different names, but the common factor in all of them was some variation of the name “Oswin.”
Even if the new companion turns out to be a different character named “Clara” (even though if that were the case, it wouldn’t really make sense for the production team to go to such great lengths to cover up her appearance in this episode), I just don’t see how one guy’s affirmation that her name is Clara is more reliable evidence than the dozens of other contradictory accounts both from other set reporters and the show itself.
