i decided to do it, and counted my mental illness as a “disease”… my score was 20.
I mean, part of the problem is that you can’t quantify privilege, part of it is that the whole thing is one big game of oppression olympics, and the chart in particular tried to quantify things that are super subjective (attractiveness?!) or irrelevant to privilege, and I’m not sure how they came up with those scores. They’ve got Jewish people as privileged over all other religions (which is actually an antisemitic stereotype used to justify their systematic oppression, and also ignores the fact that “Jewish” is a religion, an ethnicity, and a culture, and a Jewish person can be any combination of those three things), they think being Asian gets you privilege (wow), and the “geography” section, despite its eurocentric view of the world, pan-africanism, and a whole host of other issues, assumes that privilege dynamics are static worldwide.
Plus, it acts like mental illness and multiracial people don’t exist, being bisexual is a privilege and being asexual has no bearing on your privilege, and it’s just awful.

i’m not sure which of us has had a bad influence on the other but i am glad it happened
Guys if you are listening to me about whitewashing, but not listening to Nadiyah, Eli, Ssuperhero, or any other person of color talking about the subject, then you are entirely not helping the situation one bit.
I say this in 100% earnest and with no trace of irony: Their opinions on issues pertaining to race are more than my own because I’m coming from a place of privilege and they’re not.
So y’all know, I have on multiple occasions made a simultaneous post on the subject of race or gender with a WOC blogger. I got nothing but praise. They always seemed to be flooded with hate. Does that seem right to you?
